and maintains internal order, according to the Iranian constitution, for example they make sure the girls wear their veils and make sure that people are doing what they are told to do. ‍‍They ‍‍are like police but they enforce the law by keeping people strait and following the Islamic religion.

This is when Marji got stoped by the Guards and asked her about the jacket.
Also back in the days when the revolution started the Guardians were more ‍‍strict; if ‍‍they ever saw a woman with make up on their lips, they would grab a razor and take the make up off there mouth with the‍‍ razor ‍‍and would make them bleed. Also the Guardians are a big important part of the book ‍‍Persepolis‍‍ because during the war the western music or clothing or anyting was probided, and there is a part were‍ ‍Marji‍‍ tries to buy a Michel Jackson album to listen to and a guardian stops her ‍and also, the part were the ladies stoped her and asked her about her jacket. manny people dont feel right with the guardians following them. They feel like there privicy is being invated and violated. In other countries the guardians are seen as bad. Marji feels boosed around and feels like she doesnt have the right to express her self and be her self. Marji feels this way because the guardians are always in people and dont let girls express them selfs and they dont let her wear what she wants and force to follow the religion laws. ‍
